About Us

Who is Vogels Buckman?

Vogels Buckman Appraisal Group was incorporated in 1989 with Richard Vogels, MAI, as President and Mary Buckman, SRA, as Vice President. Both previously worked for another appraisal firm in Green Bay and have over 40 years of combined real estate appraisal experience and both hold designations from the Appraisal Institute. Each is a Certified General Appraiser and licensed by the State of Wisconsin.

Mary Buckman, along with Mary Linssen, a certified residential appraiser, complete appraisals on all types of residential real estate including vacant land, single family homes, condominiums and duplexes in all of Brown County as well as some portions of neighboring counties. In addition, Mary Buckman and Greg Fenendael, a certified general appraiser, specialize in the valuation of multi family properties from three units to four-hundred units. The multi family market served covers about a 75-100 mile radius extending from Green Bay as far as Marinette, Door County, Manitowoc, Sheboygan, the entire Fox Cities, Fond du Lac, Shawano, Waupaca, Marion Gillett, Wausau, Marshfield and Wisconsin Rapids.

Both Mary Buckman and Mary Linssen do appraisals for corporate relocation purposes. Other types of appraisals done include those for estates and divorces, conservation easements, right of way acquisitions (for either the acquiring authority or the property owner), subdivision analysis and real estate tax appeal. A number of these uses sometimes include expert testimony before various courts or boards of appeal.

The commercial department with Dick Vogels and John Anderson (also a State Certified General Appraiser) specializes in non-residential properties including both commercial and industrial uses. Commercial generally includes office buildings, retail properties and shopping centers of all sizes, national franchise operations, specialty properties like convenience stores and automobile dealerships, CBRF's or changes of use. Other problem solving possibilities and property types appraised are numerous.

Industrial appraisals would typically include manufacturing facilities and warehousing, both large and small. The area served is generally south of Marinette, north of Fond du Lac, west of the Lake Michigan Shore and east of Wausau. Projects beyond this area are considered on an individual basis.

The company office, managed by Patti Hoppe, is located at 2005 S. Webster Avenue in Green Bay. Vogels Buckman is a full service real estate appraisal firm.
